Well, the time has come, the final image is up. BIG THANK YOU to all of our beta testers and to everyone reviewing and supporting us. We hope you’ll have as much fun using ForkLift as we had developing it.
This is only the beginning, we have so much to add. Since we no longer have to worry about the release, we’ll jump right into developing the next version with lots of new and useful features. Check back soon to get more info about them…
As promised, Macapper is ready to give away some free licenses, so check them out!

Congrats on version 1! I just ordered ForkLift.
Congratulations, indeed.
Whipping out my credit card now!
Forklift is great, but $30 is too much. sshfs / google FUSE does the biggest feature for free. Finder sucks but not $30 bad.
Guys, real nice work. Congrats on the release.
Dan: Go use Linux, it’s free…
I don’t use any programs like Forklift, but I looked at your website after seeing your product featured at Apple’s Mac OS X downloads. I would just like to say that the icon looks cool. However, one of the Forklift’s lifter forks (the rear one) looks significantly smaller than the frontmost lifter fork. Really, it shouldn’t be. It isn’t that far in the background of the image. The icon looks cool, but would look better if the one lifter fork was redone a little larger. That’s all.
Top featured download at apple.com…congratulations guys!
ps.: just bought my copy
Thanks guys! Forklift is very useful app. Congrats!
One app doing what many others are doing…and quick, effective…I already love it…just bought my copy right now.
You know it is one of those apps that you feel home right after the launch and know that it is a keeper…
Sorry for my english…
Keep the new coming.
Patrick
Congrats. Just ordered mine also. You know what I’d like in the next release
Grats.
One question — import from Transmit of any other ftp client will be implemented?
I’m ready to buy this. I fell right at home with it – love it!
Quick question:
I’ve got alll my tabs set up, in order to help me move quickly to key copy locations, i.e., Desktop –> Music, Desktop –> Documents, etc. When I need to quit Forklift (due to system file updates, and the like) and then restart, everything defaults to when I first ran it. There doesn’t seem to be a way to “save” a session. When starting Forklift again I have to set up all my tabs once more.
Any solutions?
Kind regards,
Christian.
All I have to say is, I hope I get one of the serials from MacApper =D I can get rid of 3 applications I just use Forklift =)
Jamie, thanks for the suggestion. But the tools I was referring to – FUSE and sshfs – I use those on Mac OS X. You don’t need Linux to use them.
Almost exactly what I’ve been looking for. Been using Total Commander on PC’s for years. This is very close.
Wish it would default to the same Volume/Directory in both panes when starting up regardless of where it was when shutdown.
Thanks for a great product. I’m buying now.
