ForkLift 1.7.5 Snow Leopard service release

September 17th, 2009

We’re continuing our arduous work of weeding out the bugs that inevitably showed up with the transition to Snow Leopard.
This update fixes a bug that involved only a small number of users, but which simply broke the rename operation for them, making ForkLift a bit impractical in some cases ;)

Also, we’ve had some positive vibe from the direction of Apple’s DTS team in the past days, so we are at the moment rather optimists concerning the one major outstanding problem we have on Snow Leopard – the broken AFP connection feature.

So, hopefully, we will be back with another update in a short while.

Have a great weekend everyone

    Great!
    I love ForkLift.
    Keep up

Can we you add a Check for Update menu item right below “About Forklift” a la Snow Leopard and many other Sparkle apps?

    Cheers, it’s looking great!

Sparkle update would be awesome. It would also be nice if we could get an option to auto connect to a favorite when Forklift launches. Thank you!

This update has broke ForkLift for me in 10.5.8! I launch the app but I can’t see any window open, just the Dock Icon and the notice: “Application Not Responding”.

I’ve tried reinstalling the App, deleting the .plist, changing the default language, restarting the computer but nothing brings me back ForkLift.

Arrgh!! I need my ForkLift back!! :”””(

Er…that really sounds bad. The things you described (quitting FL, moving the plist file away and reinstalling a fresh copy of ForkLift) should be foolproof. If this fails, it’s certain that the problem is somewhere in the system. Can you install other applications?
Also, you’ll get faster response if you write to our support@binarynights.com email.

    @csaba

I apologize for the delay, I’ve been out for 3 days.

The good news is that FL is back. The last thing I did wednesday was downgrading to FL 1.7.4 and it failed but today, may it be after restarting the computer?, it works. Then I’ve upgraded it to 1.7.5 and it’s still working.

    Thanks for you attention!
